Profile: Alex signed for the just before Christmas 2007 having been released by Swindon Town. Last season he played a major role during Town Youths F.A. Youth Cup campaign in which the side reached the Quarter-Final stages only to lose to a strong Newcastle United side. Despite suffering a setback through injury his performances in the FA Youth Cup run were rewarded by manager Paul Sturrock who handed him a 6 month professional contract at the County Ground in the summer 2007. In August 2007 he signed for Cirencester Town F.C. on a months loan in order to gain match practice but returned to the County Ground without seeing out the month after a disagreement with Cirencester Manager Adi Viveash. Upon returning to Swindon Town he was informed that his contract would not be renewed beyond his current deal which ran out at Christmas and that he could leave immediately with the majority of his contract being paid to him. Since then he has had a weeks trial at Weymouth and played in a friendly game but Weymouth decided against signing him. He has signed for Supermarine in an attempt to reignite his footballing career. He is a very accomplished player with good technical ability, quick and versatile in either the left back or left midfield role.
