Ash gives Marine win

Supermarine notched up their second Southern League win
in a row against Hemel Hempstead Town last night,
courtesy of a first-half strike by Ash Edenborough
(pictured).
Chris Taylor picked out the
front man with an inch-perfect through ball on 25
minutes, and Edenborough easily slotted past stopper
Mike McEntergart to score the game’s only goal. James
Hatch had earlier lifted over Hemel’s best chance of the
opening period from 12 yards.
After the restart,
Supermarine midfielder Sam Morris saw his long-range
blast hit the post, before Matt Bulman and Leigh Henry
were forced into last-ditch challenges to keep Hemel out
on separate occasions.
Supermarine boss Mark
Collier said afterwards: "It was a clean sheet and three
points, you can't ask for any more."
