Mark signed for the club in July 2009 having previously been with Hitchin Town, for whom he played against us in their 4-0 win at Swindon in April 2009. Having moved to Swindon earlier in the year he continued to travel and play for Hitchin until the end of last season. The management team were keen to sign Mark for this 2009/10 season and having spoken to him at the end of the season he duly signed for 'Marine'. 

 

In that 4-0 defeat by Hitchin the management team saw at first hand what a good forward he was, with great mobility around the pitch. Mark had been Hitchin's leading goalscorer over the past two seasons and he also led the goalscoring charts at his previous club Barton Rovers. The management team are very confident he will continue his goalscoring with 'Marine'.
