Ashley was previously with Fairford Town  and signed for the club in the summer of 2007 after coming along to pre-season training looking for an opportunity. The management team saw enough to suggest that Ashley had the ability to progress and play a part in what was then the club's first season in the Southern League Premier Division.

 

Although inexperienced at Southern League level Ashley quickly settled in to play a vital role in the squad in his first season and scored eleven and some crucial goals along the way. This was equalled last season with ten more goals to his name. Ashley is very quick and possesses a good engine, always shutting down defenders and working extremely hard for the team.
