Alan signed for the club in July 2008 from Mangotsfield United for whom he joined the previous season from Chippenham Town. Before that he was with Corsham Town in the Western League where scored a high number of goals as they won the Championship in 2005/06 season.

Alan is perhaps best described as an 'old fashioned' fashioned centre forward but his touch on the ball is nothing old fashioned, for a big lad he has great movement and touch. He is excellent on the ball, possesses a good turn of pace that gets him to a number of goalscoring opportunities and is good in the air.

The management team were hopeful he would be one of our leading goalscorers last season and he certainly was as he finished with a total of eighteen goals in first season at the club and proved an excellent signing for 'Marine'.
