Halesowen preview

On Saturday we travel to the Midlands to play Halesowen Town, a club that has been in a turmoil this year with the threat of administration and points deduction threatening with a number of board and ownership issues in debate and still pending. Coupled with a proposed takeover by a Supporters Trust who will take the club into administration if successful.

Previous FA sanctions have seen the club suspended from playing due to outstanding money owed to creditors and only a pre-season payment of this money allowed the club to kick off the season. In the past week the Supporters Trust have called for a boycott of the supporters from their homes games which could see a crowd that matched the opening game of the season when only 96 paid to watch their first home game. This was bettered in their second game on Wednesday with 140 watching the draw against Cambridge City, with a number travelling from Cambridge.
