Supermarine chase ex-Town coach Williams

By Ned Payne » Swindon Advertiser

Ady WilliamsSupermarine boss Mark Collier is lining up a shock move for ex-Town assistant coach Ady Williams (pictured), the Advertiser understands. The former Welsh international was present to watch Supermarine’s 0-0 draw with Atherstone Town on Saturday, and Collier was due to undergo further talks on Sunday with a view to recruiting Williams as a member of his playing staff. The defender signed for Blue Square South outfit Weston-super-Mare in June but would be allowed to turn out for the Hunts Copse outfit as he would be playing in a different league.

Williams, who turns 38 in a matter of days, is currently recovering from a long-standing calf problem that rendered him unavailable for Weston’s opener against Staines Town. As well as Town, the central defender has played for Millwall, Coventry, Reading and Wolves during his career.
