PRESEASON FRIENDLIES
With the future of the football club now sorted and in excellent hands the current list of preseason friendlies can be viewed below, a couple are provisional will be confirmed a.s.a.p. along with a few others that are being discussed. Undoubtedly the most glamorous and very important for our football club is the game against our friends and neighbours Swindon Town on the evening of Wednesday July 14th, kick off 7:30pm, at Hunts Copse for obvious reasons. The Management and Directors of Swindon Town are fully aware of the current situation that Swindon Supermarine FC finds itself and have promised that this game will be a preseason game for the 'Town' first team squad. Everyone at the club is truly thankful for their commitment and support in helping the club's with there survival plans.

Saturday 31st July away Westfields (The Dennis Hartland Trophy) *see below Saturday 7th August away v Abingdon United
*The Dennis Hartland Trophy Dennis Hartland was a former player/manager and chairman of Westfields who died twelve years ago and his widow put up a trophy which Westfields have played for annually against Pegasus Juniors, a member of the Hellenic Premier Division. However, this year both Pegasus and Westfields have agreed that perhaps they should open up the trophy to become an invitation final between other teams and therefore this year Westfields have invited a team to compete for the trophy and the following year Pegasus will invite a team to compete for the trophy. If Swindon Supermarine were to beat Westfields then they would be invited to defend the trophy against Pegasus next year whereas if Westfields beat Supermarine then Pegasus would invite a club to compete for the final the following season.
