CLUB UPDATE

After the latest meeting between the football club's executive committee and the supporters group tonight (Tuesday 15th June) we are pleased to announce that a new committee has been formed and the fantastic news that the first team will continue playing Southern League Premier Division football in the new 2010/11 season.

After some uncertainty in recent weeks the new football club committee will now drive the club forward and with this improved structure to operate from assurances on next seasons budget have been made to Mark Collier and he has accepted the committee's request to continue in his role of football manager of Swindon Supermarine FC.

The new committee can now also confirm some further fantastic news and that is that our first preseason friendly will be against Swindon Town on July 14th, with Swindon bringing along their first team squad to Hunts Copse for the game.

The financial commitments the committee has received from the friends and supporters of the football club has made this decision possible but the work has just started and additional finance is needed to maintain this progress.

If you are a friend or supporter of the club and you haven't done so already there are a number of small financial initiatives which you can support and ultimately support the committee's focus of Southern League football next season. If you can help then please see our previous club update on the 'latest news' page or drop an email to supermarinefc@aol.com requesting details of these initiatives
