ON THE ROAD TO RUGBY

On
Thursday evening we are on our travels for the second time this week when we take the
road to Rugby Town to
play a Premier Division match that is best described as a 'six-pointer', as both
teams are at the bottom of the league table and fighting for points to move them out of the
relegation zone.
Rugby's league form had been disastrous
all season having won only one game at Clevedon, that was until last Saturday
when they hammered Oxford City 4-0 at Butlin Road. But Rugby's form had been encouraging
up to Saturday's game with two draw's in their previous four games. With
a relative new manager in place they have signed a few players and are looking to turn their
position around.
Our last encounter with Rugby was on the opening
day of the season when we won convincingly by five goals to one. The goals
coming from Justyn McKay (37), Mark Barnes (45) pictured above,
Joe Harris (48p), Alan Griffin (50) and Chris Taylor (90) with Rugby's leading
goalscorer of last season David Kolodynski, pictured in action below, grabbing a consolation goal from the
penalty spot in the 86th minute.
