As we strive to maintain our position in Step 3 of the Non-League football pyramid we need to continually to improve our facilities, not only to maintain our position but to also create a facility for the youngsters from the community of Swindon to enjoy. We often hear of the promises that there's plans to replace the playing fields and pitches in Swindon which have been lost to new housing or industrial estates but 'promises mean nothing until they are fulfilled'. At Swindon Supermarine we took the initiative and acquired our own freehold land, measuring around 9.5 acres, and we have set our sights on improving our Hunts Copse ground to that of ‘Football Conference’ standards and building training facilities to accommodate children’s football from 6-16 year olds in order to give them the opportunity of realising their dream of becoming the next ‘David Beckham’. Our development plans has been approved by the local authority but we need to find ways of funding the development. |

We are seeking financial support from various government sports grants but we know we must still raise a large percentage of the cost. We have always been encouraged by the fantastic support already given to us by our sponsors but we need more help to move forward. We do have a vehicle to raise funds for our development plans with our 'Swindon Supermarine Lottery Draw’ but we need you to join our membership if you haven't done so already, as we urgently need more members. With 50% of our members subscription paid out in weekly and a monthly cash prizes you will not only help the club with its fund raising initiatives but you could also win a cash prize along the way. The commitment from you is equivalent to ‘a pint per week i.e. £11 per month'. When you join you will be given a unique number that will be entered into the lottery draws. Monthly payments are made by standing order, as per the instructions on the application form, and any winnings will be sent to you within days. Please contact us for an application form or you can download and print it off before posting it to us, we'd love to hear from you! |
