RESHUFFLED MARINE
VICTORIOUS AGAIN
Swindon
Supermarine made it two wins out of two for caretaker
managers Gary Horgan (pictured) and Matt robinson since
boss Mark Collier quit. They triumphed 1-0 at Tiverton
following another turbulent day for the South Marston
side.
Fresh from the departure of
Collier and assistant Tom Jones, star defender Leigh
Henry has now sealed a move to Bath City and loanee
Jacob Erskine has returned to his London home after
being released by his parent club. But Marine responded
to the loss of Henry by keeping a clean sheet, while
Mitch Bryant filled the void left by Erskine to net the
only goal in the 25th minute.

Report from a Tiverton perspective
TIVVY BOSS DEMANDS
IMPROVEMENT
Tiverton Town manager Mark
Saunders has called for his players to become more
ruthless after they crashed to a 1-0 defeat to Swindon
Supermarine. Swindon scored the decisive goal midway
through the first half at Ladysmead, when for all their
possession, Tivvy failed to really trouble the visitors'
back line. To compound matters, striker Joe Bushin was
shown a straight red card for stamping on Gary Horgan on
a frustrating evening for Saunders' side. The defeat
leaves the Yellows in 20th spot in the Southern League
Premier Division with four teams tied on 20 points.
Saunders admits
improvements are needed at both ends of the pitch if the
Ladysmead side are to pull themselves out of the final
relegation spot. "We need to be far more clinical if we
want to climb the table because we were poor in both
defence and attack. I can't fault the effort of the lads
because they always try so hard in every game we play,"
he said. "The goal went in far too easily. One pass just
opened us up like a tin of beans – it was a soft goal to
concede. We lost concentration and it has cost us a
point at least.
"I thought the referee
disrupted the game too much. Every time we looked to get
forward or put a good move together he would stop it and
disrupt play. "Joe Bushin getting a red card was
ridiculous too. He's just gone to put himself between
the player and the ball and he's been sent off for
stamping. "It was very frustrating, but ultimately it
did not cost us the points. Our passing, crossing and
finishing inside the final third was just not good
enough on the night." Mitchell Bryant scored the only
goal after 25 minutes.
